History Buffs Only

I wanted to include some information for the history lovers that are attending the wedding. The background and history of the church that we are getting married at is very rich. The church is located on the top of one of the oldest mountain ranges in Eastern Europe. It is situated in the Swietokrzyski National Park.

Here is a tale about the mountain where the church is located:

Łysiec Mountain, commonly referred to as “Święty Krzyż” (Holy Cross mountain) in the ancient times used to be visited by witches. The folk legend has it that during Sabbaths the witches congregated there to practice witchcraft and make hellish parties and dances. However, it is the remains of a stone heathen ring surrounding the top of the mountain and dating back to around 9th century that is the only relic of those times.
